Benefits of forming a road association

  • Input into how the Enfield Water Quality Preservation funds are used on our roads

  • Centralize decision making

  • Open the lines of communication between neighbors

  • Establish a fair system for collecting dues for winter snow plowing and sanding

  • Set up an impartial means for managing money

Some of our neighbors have come together to convene a steering committee with the goal of forming a road association to ensure the lasting quality of our lake in part by maintaining our roads. We want to work together and assume the responsibility for the maintenance and improvements to our roads.

Currently, the plowing and sanding is paid with the donations from the property owners on Cedar Rest Road and Campbell Way. The money to pay for the annual road repairs, including grading, raking, winging, and ditiching as well as culvert replacements currently comes voluntarily from the Enfield Water Quality Preservation Fund. However, there is no guarantee that these funds will always be available.

We feel it is in every property owner's best interest to take control of the long-term upkeep and improvements on our roads.
